Support For Families

Meet our

Learning Mentor

The role of a Learning Mentor is to work with children to develop their learning strategies. Starting from the child’s existing strengths, the Learning Mentor may work with your child on a one-to-one basis or in a group session.

Our aim is to develop self-confidence and independent learners; to enable your children to become resilient and to be the best that they can be.

Our sessions cover a wide range of outcomes for example; Nurture, Resilience, Conflict Resolution and Emotional support.

‘The Building Blocks of the Nurturing Programme’

To support our parents we run a 10 week Family Links, Nurturing Group. We’re planning to run an afternoon and an evening group to cater for working parents. We are also planning postnatal sessions such as mother and toddler groups, yoga and drop in sessions (Clair Blenkinsopp).

In addition, we organise and encourage the children to work within a team by getting involved with whole school activities, such as Buddies, Pupil Office, School Council and fundraising. We also develop and organise after School Clubs based on the children’s opinions.
