At Crossflatts we recognise that the internet brings us many exciting and interesting opportunities, has many amazing things on it and allows us to learn in many different ways, but we must be aware that there are potential hazards and dangers which we would like to protect all children from. 

These different websites will give you helpful information that you need to have the knowledge and the information to keep children safe online.

 To keep a child safe online you need to:

* Have knowledge of what your child is looking at/ interacting with online

* Understand the security settings and how these should be set to keep your child safe.

 

The understanding in each individual child that if they wouldn't look at a site when their parent is with them then they should not be on it.

Know IT All This site gives information about how different technologies can be used. It offers practical advice on how to avoid or minimise risks when online and when using mobile technology.

Google Smarttools a range of tools and instructions that filter sites that may be unsuitable material .
